In the heart of the Médoc since 1989

LE MONDE DES GRANDS BORDEAUX - CHATEAU CLASSIC was founded in 1989 by Bergitta Nanette Reiss , ‘Commandant Titulaire of the Commanderie du Bontemps of the Médoc, Graves, Sauternes and Barsac’.  Only a few years later, the company was unanimously respected in the Bordeaux wine place for its incomparable range of great and suitable Bordeaux wines.

The reference for the classified growths of 80’s, 90’s and 2000's

CHATEAU CLASSIC is one of the leading merchants for Grands Crus Classés Bordeaux in the world. More than 80% of its turnover is done with the so called "Big 8s": Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Ausone, Château Cheval Blanc, Château Haut-Brion, Château Latour, Château Margaux, Château Mouton Rothschild, and Petrus. Not only does CHATEAU CLASSIC have the very best old vintages, but also a treasure trove of classified growths from the  80’s, 90’s and 00's decades. CHATEAU CLASSIC owns impressive stock and offers more than 1.000 different wines and vintages.

Air-conditioned warehouse

Cellars and Offices are located among the prestigious Médoc vineyards, in Saint-Christoly-Médoc . To secure and respect these prestigious wines, as well as our staff, all cellars and offices of CHATEAU CLASSIC are air-conditioned.

Prices and stocks always up-to-date

All wines are stored in our own cellars*. Nothing is virtual! That's the reason why we can prepare your order up to the minute. Prices and stocks are constantly updated and always up-to-date. *Except Futures(*)  or CHATEAU CLASSIC’s external supply service (!)

Price control policy

Regarding structure, efficiency and price control, CHATEAU CLASSIC, as one of the top leading wine companies, is always concerned  about prices strategies of the great Bordeaux wines.

Controlled quality

Each bottle is carefully checked and controlled before entering stock. All wines of CHATEAU CLASSIC are in a perfect condition and in excellent quality (except otherwise indicated in our wine lists).

Precise description for each bottle

CHATEAU CLASSIC describes with precision the real shape of bottles. Aged bottles could present imperfections, for example on the label, the cap or a barely low level. Those wines are listed under the heading "Wines with slight defects" and are generally sold at a lower price.

Over 13 000 press recommandations

The CHATEAU CLASSIC website is one of the most inclusive in terms of information: the wine database shows more than 13.000 press notes coming from 40 newspapers and magazines.
